HPT is an LTA accredited performance satellite club located in North London at the Highgate Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club.
HPT houses some of the best young talent from in and around North London. We have players who are within the LTA matrix funding scheme and our club teams compete in the Aegon Premier League against the best 24 clubs in the UK. We have great links with other performance centers and our open door approach means we can cater for players wishing to experience the full program or those players simply wishing to access our program as and when.
The Club has 9 Floodlit Hardcourt/Maccadam courts and 3 Shale courts. The clubhouse has a fully licensed bar and restaurant.
HPT PROGRAM
We offer a large array of squad sessions from Mini tennis right up to players who are 16 plus. Players can access squads from twice to four times per week and have the opportunity be tested against some of the best players in the UK.
For our targeted players HPT becomes their London base when they are not spending time at our base in Germany. Once we have identified our targeted players, they will have the opportunity to join our elite program, based in Germany, which gives the players time abroad competing and training on red clay.
This can be tailored to fit in the term holiday schedule and for older players they will have the opportunity to access the program during the normal school term.

The COACHES
Toby Freedman (LTA Performance Coach)
Toby has spent the last 3 years under mentor Peter McCraw mastering the technical aspects of the CBD model. He is a highly skilled developmental performance coach, with a keen eye for the technical limitations/strengths within a player’s game. He is a qualified LTA performance coach and has worked with some of the best young talent in the country.
James Maxwell (LTA Performance Coach)
James has been with the program for the last two years. He specialises in Mini Tennis performance age groups, but also works with our older players. His passion and enthusiasm for the game is infectious and carries over on to the players he works with.
Daniel Istrate (LTA Level 2)
Daniel was a top junior in Romania and played at a high level within the ITF junior circuit all over Europe. He was ranked in the top 15 in Romania under 18 and won several tournaments in Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia. Later he joined the ITF Futures Circuit where he played against many of the top 800 ATP players gaining quality match experience which helped take his game to a higher level. He is used as a sparring partner for all of our targeted players.
